Mary Ann Martin

Mary Ann Martin, 76, of Bismarck, IL passed away at Accolade Healthcare in Danville, IL on December 28, 2025 at 3:30 PM.

Mary Ann was born on February 24, 1949 the daughter of Sindey Warren and Leona June (Isley) Kentner in Danville, IL. She married Joseph M. Martin on May 29, 1976 in Bismarck, IL and he preceded her in death on December 15, 2008.

Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Martin of Bismarck, IL, one brother, Thomas (Susan) Kentner of Danville, IL, special friends, Cheryl and John Graves of Perrysville, IN, one niece, Mica (Jason) Erwin of LeRoy, IL, one nephew, Alex (Becca) Kentner of Bismarck, IL as well as four great nephews and one great niece.

Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joseph Martin.

Mary Ann was a CNA at St Elisabeth Hospital in Danville for many years. She was a member of the Bismarck First Church of Christ, attended Second Church of Christ and also a member of Post Road Christian Church in Indianapolis, IN. She enjoyed spending her free time taking care of her home, participating in the Choir at church, was involved in Ladies Circle and attending her Bible Study groups.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the wonderful staff at Accolade that took such great care of Mary Ann.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Bismarck First Church of Christ, 100 Maiden Lane, Bismarck, Illinois, 61814. Pastor Jim Boudouris will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-6 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to the Bismarck First Church of Christ in Bismarck, IL.
