Mary Marie Madeline Moore

Mary Marie Madeline Moore passed away February 22, 2026 at Goldwater Healthcare at the age of 96.

Marie was born on April 14, 1929 in Boston, MA the daughter of Enrico and Angelina (Luongo) Sablone. She fell in love with a handsome sailor, Andrew Moore, who was stationed in Boston, and they were married August 25, 1951 at St Stephen’s Catholic Church in Boston, MA.

Marie and Andrew later moved to Danville, IL to make their home, where Andrew was from and beginning his career in the Pipefitting Trades in Local 293.

Marie was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and a great great-grandmother. She was a stay-at-home mom to her three children, Suzan Winkler, Tony Moore and Andrew (Christie) Moore.

Her family was her life, and she enjoyed being called “Nani” by all of her grandchildren. Her favorite interest was exercise classes at the YWCA, which she was a member of for 40 years.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Suzan Winkler, sons, Tony Moore and Andrew (Christie) Moore, grandchildren, Doug (Debbie) Winkler, Darin (Ashley) Winkler, Valerie (Brian) Adkins, Miranda (Devon) Fox, Dylan Moore and Madelyn (Danny) Brewer, great-grandchildren, Sierra (Tyler) Vibbert, Kennedy Winkler, Ayrton Winkler, Jaret Moody, Jerrick, Josellyn, Jyllian and Jameson Adkins, Noah and Lily Garriott, Brady Levi, Harper and Violet Fox, great great-grandchildren, Ava and Axel Vibbert and special nieces and nephews in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Andrew Moore, special son-in-law, Budd Winkler, brothers, Carlos, Luigi and his wife Josie, Anthony, Dominic and his wife Mary, Joseph and his wife Dolores, Frank and her sister, Rose.

Private Family Graveside Services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, where Marie will be laid to rest beside her husband, Andrew. Monsignor James Kruse will officiate.
