Mary M. Lappin

Mary Magdalene Lappin, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 8, 2019 surrounded by loving family at her home in Danville. She was born on December 21, 1933 the daughter of Oscar W. and Mildred L. (Owens) Kinney. They precede her in death.

Also preceding Mary in death include her husband, Charles Lappin; two sons, Charles Lappin and David Lappin; four brothers, Harold, John, Gerald, and Freddy; three sisters, Daisy, Sharon, and Violet; and a son in law, Gerald Allhands.

She is survived by five children, Diana Allhands, Danny (Teresa) Lappin, Dennis (Allison) Lappin, Debra (Kent) Westfahl, and Donna Lappin; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; one sister, Rose (Robert) Carter; and a daughter in law, Sharon Lappin.

Mary was known for her giving personality. Mary worked as CNA. She had a passion for taking care of others, especially her family.

A special thank you to her daughters and grandchildren, Tammy, Tina, and Christina for helping take care of her near the end. Her giving personality and willingness to help others will always be remembered.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Gundy Cemetery in Bismarck. Officiating will be Tony Goss. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 has been entrusted with arrangements. Per Marys wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
