Kingman, Ind. -- Mary Lue Oliver, 75, of Kingman, Indiana and formerly of Kansas, passed away at 10 a.m. EDT Saturday (April 14, 2007) at her daughter's residence in rural Kingman, Indiana. She was born July 18, 1931, in Shawnee, Kansas, the daughter of the late Walter and Edna Haas Liestman. She married John E. "Jack" Oliver, Jr. on November 25, 1949 in De Soto, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 26, 1996. Survivors include: three daughters, Susan(Mark)Switzer of Kingman, Indiana; Connie(Jerry)Von Pertz, Jr. of Topka, Kansas and Debra(Donald)Reynolds of Kansas City, Kansas; one son, David Oliver of Kingman, Indiana; six grandchildren and one great granddaughter; four sisters, Audrey Culbertson of Linn Valley, Kansas; Betty(Joe)Timmons of Pittsburg, Kansas; Carol Hastings of Edgerton, Kansas and Diana(Richard)Culey of Pittsburg, Kansas; one brother, William((Margiel)Liestman of Olathe, Kansas. Mary attended the Methodist Church in Kansas. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Funeral services: 4 p.m. EDT Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Travis Girdler; Visitation: 2 p.m. EDT Tuesday, April 17, 2007 until time of services at the funeral home; Burial of cremains: Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas at a later date.
