Mary Louise Farrow, 80, of Danville, passed away at 12:25 a.m. Sunday, February 28, 2010 at North Logan Healthcare. Mary was born on September 29, 1929 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the daughter of Chester and Lula Belle (Hoebrook) Van Leer. She married Paul R. Farrow on July 8, 1961 in Stateline, Indiana. He survives. She is also survived by two daughters- Diana Marti of Phoenix, Arizona and Lana (Dick) Shuberg of De Witt, Michigan; one son- Paul Farrow Jr. of Tilton; one step-daughter- Linda Race of Hobe Sound, Florida; six grandchildren- Angie (Kenny) Abbott of Chicago, Illinois, Tracee (Pete) Theiler of Chicago, Illinois, Tyler Fox of Danville, Amy Farrow of Danville, Kyle (Erin) Shuberg of Atlanta, Georgia and Jill Shuberg of Lansing, Michigan; and four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters- Alice Stroup and Betty Collins. Mary worked as a hairdresser in her home for many years. She was a member of the United Church of Tilton and the Cauldrons of the GAO Grotto. She enjoyed cooking, traveling to Florida and collecting beanie babies and crystal figurines. A Celebration of the life of Mary Louise Farrow will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Marvin McCormick officiating. Burial will be in Danville National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the United Church of Tilton.
