Mary Lou Jaeger

Danville - Mary Lou (Winn) Jaeger of Danville, passed away at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Gardenview Manor in Danville. Mary Lou was born the daughter of Samuel E. and Laura E. (Wynn) Winn on September 24, 1927 in Danville, Illinois. She married George Robert “Bob” Jaeger on October 9, 1949. He preceded her in death having passed on December 7, 1990. Mary Lou is survived by her son, Gary (Cindy) Jaeger of Bismarck, and daughter Peggy A. Jaeger Boggess of Tilton; three grandchildren Jeffrey A. (Virginia) Jaeger of Morgan Hill, CA, Gregory A. (Jesse) Jaeger of Champaign, and Eric W. (Laura) Boggess of Cayuga, IN; four great-grandchildren Nathan Jaeger and Allison Jaeger of Morgan Hill, CA, and Daulton Boggess and McKenzie Boggess of Cayuga, IN; and one loving sister Genevieve “Gen” (Bill) Citizen of Danville. Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents, nine brothers, four sisters, and her daughters best friend, Ron Trosper who kindly assisted with her care. Mary Lou was a home maker and assisted her husband with their Phillip 66 dealership. Mary Lou loved working in her yard, raising flowers, and tending to her garden. Most of all Mary Lou loved being a grandmother and spending time with her family. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday February 26, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home, a life celebration home, in Danville. Pastor Wade Martin will officiate. A visitation will be held on the same day from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Danville National Cemetery.
