Mary Lou Gouty

Cloverdale, IN- Mary Gouty, 72, of Cloverdale, IN, formerly of Danville, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at her residence. She was born on September 17, 1938 in Danville to Alva and Pauline Zorns Weidenburner. She married Floyd Frances Gouty in Danville. He preceded her in death in 1986. She is survived by two sons, Lloyd Gouty of Attica, IN and Bruce Gouty of PA; sister Karen St. John of Potomac; and a granddaughter Dawn Gouty. In addition to her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a son Richard, and three sisters, Irene Newell, and Peggy Cox. Mary was a Nurse's Aid for the VA Medical System in Danville and Indianapolis for 29 years. She loved horses, gardening, crocheting, and enjoyed working on cars. A service to celebrate the life Mary Gouty will be held at 1 PM on Friday, September 16, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Jan Reeder will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Thursday, September 15, also at Sunset in Danville.
