Mary Laverne Moore

Mary Laverne Moore, 87, of Danville, passed away at 6:17 AM on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born on January 29, 1926 in Danville, the daughter of Cecil and Sylvia (Rector) Butcher. She married Harold Eugene Moore in Danville on June 21, 1951. Harold preceded her in death on May 29, 1984. Surviving her are two sons- Benny E. (Kay) Moore of Danville and Michael J. (Tami) Moore of Danville, one sister- Alice Phillips of Danville, five grandchildren- Brent (Michelle) Moore, Cindy (Jimmy) Dokey, Jennifer Moore, Miranda Moore, Jayme (K.C.) Katzenberger and five great grandchildren- Mina, Sophia, and Jordy Katzenberger, Trinity Dokey and Addison Shutes. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and five brothers. She was a member of Alvin Church of God and loved playing bingo. A Celebration of Mary's Life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville with Pastor Jim Boudouris officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Gundy Cemetery in Bismarck. Memorials can be made to the American Arthritis Foundation.
