Mary L. Peterson

Mary L. Peterson, 92, of Danville passed away May 9, 2014 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville. Mary was born the daughter of John and Pearl (Nail) Good on May 28, 1921 in Paris, IL. Mary married John Peterson on February 17, 1940 in Williamsport, IN. He preceded her in death. Surviving is one daughter, Nancy (Robert) Linn of Oakwood; two grandchildren, Roben (Kyle) Durand of Marietta, GA., Courtney(John) Dudley of Oakwood; four great grandchildren, Mauri and Kyla Durand, Jackson and Carsen Dudley. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, George and Clyde, three sisters, Elsie, Ann, and Ruth and a special sister in law Stella. Mary was a member of the Oakwood United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and was a great pie maker. A Celebration of Marys life will be held at Sunsets Oakwood Chapel on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 10:00 am. Officiating will be Pastor Kim Dancy. A visitation will be held at Sunsets Oakwood Chapel on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm. Memorials can be made in Marys name to the Oakwood United Methodist Church Vacation Bible School.
