Mary Koch

Mary Lou Koch, 87, of Danville, passed away peacefully March 28, 2017 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana after an extended illness. She was born on September 23, 1929 in Danville, Illinois to Georgia and Harry Gordon. She married Robert John Koch on May 8, 1947 and they were blessed with nearly 70 years together. Mary Lou will be deeply missed by her husband, and children Jeanne (Tom) Fowler of Tipton, Indiana, Terry (Gibson) Murray of Lake Villa, Illinois, Robert Jr and Mark (Kathy Stitt) Koch of Danville, six grandchildren, Tricia (Scott) Walosin of Noblesville, Indiana, John Fowler of Tipton, Indiana, Kristin (Brad) Moon of Arcadia, Indiana, Lauryn Murray of Lake Villa, Illinois, Kerri and Kayli Koch of Danville, Illinois and five great-grandchildren, Mason, Grant, Connor, Logan and Joanna. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Marie Rincon. Mary Lou was a graduate of Danville High School and Danville Beauty School. She was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church and served on Danville Firefighter's Ladies Auxiliary. A celebration of life service for Mary Lou will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center. There will be a visitation from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Friday, March 31, 2017 at the funeral home. Memorials can be made in Mary Lou's name to Trinity Lutheran Church or Danville Lutheran School, 824 E.
