Mary Knutson

Mary Rosalyn Knutson, 83, of Danville passed away at 11:20a.m., October 21, 2008 at Provena United Samaritan Medical Center. She was born August 17, 1925 in Hoopeston, IL, the daughter of Clarence W. and Mary E. Adamson Brown. Mary married Reuben Milford Knutson on April 2, 1946 in Danville; he preceded her in death on May 27, 1969. She is survived by children, Steve ( Judy) Knutson of Sturgis, MI. and Becky (Tom) Osgood of Ogden, IL.; grandchildren Ken (Charlene) Willfong of Seguin,TX., Gina (Rich) Wilson of Tipp City, OH., Chrissy Knutson of Urbana, Ryan (Regena) Knutson of Seymour, IN., Ali Knutson of Kalamazoo, MI.; 8 great grandchildren; and brothers Clarence (Mona) Brown and Jack (Erma) Brown both of Danville. Her parents, husband, and sister Dorothy Cramer preceded her in death. Mary had worked at Anchor Hocking in the Quality Control Dept. and in earlier years at the Nook restaurant. She enjoyed and participated in many activities involving children and families. Mary was an active volunteer at church, most recently at Homer United Methodist Church and a former member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Westville. Mary was an avid reader, baker and enjoyed attending plays. A celebration of life for Mary R. Knutson will be held at 10:00a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., with Reverend Phil Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m., Friday, October 24, 2008 at the funeral home.
