Mary Kibler

Danville - Mary Kibler, 89, of Danville passed away at 8:14 PM on April 20, 2023, at Arcadia Healthcare in Danville, IL.

Mary was born on February 10, 1934, the daughter of Arthur and Hazel Belle (Boyles) York, Sr., in Danville, IL. She married Rex Kibler on August 22, 1953, in Hidalgo, IL and he preceded her in death on June 11, 2022.

Survivors include her children, Rex (Marcia) Kibler, Jr. of Kokomo, IN, Mike (Georgina) Kibler of Elkhart, IN, Donald Kibler of Danville, IL, Steve (Veronica) Kibler of Evansville, IN, Lisa (Greg) Setser of Evansville, IN and Alison (Randy) Hankins of St Petersburg, FL, as well as her grandchildren, Jared Kibler, Jacob Kibler, Nathan Kibler, Jennifer Kibler, Gale Kibler, Mary Kibler, Altara Hardy, Jessica Kibler, Ethan Alblinger, Kim Setser, Elise Setser Poag, Tyler Hankins and Leo Perez and thirteen great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two sisters, Linda Swaney of Vincennes, IN and Charlotte Noble of Danville, IL.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rex Kibler, Sr., her sister, Artina Cook, brother, Arthur York and daughter-in-law Lisa Marie Kibler.

Mary was a 1953 graduate of Newton Community High School, Newton, IL., and was a member of the Pleasant View Congregational Christian Church of Bismarck, IL..

Marys first love was family. She also enjoyed reading, playing cards, and afternoon car rides in the country. Mary and Rex enjoyed coffee and biscuits in the morning at McDonalds.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CRIS Healthy Aging Vermilion County.

A Graveside Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 27 at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, IL, 3901 N Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61832. Her son, Rex Kibler, Jr. will officiate services. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.
