Mary Kay (Carson) Flynn Mary Kay (Carson) Flynn, 71, of Danville, passed away at 9:35 p.m., Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Kay was born December 31, 1936 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Robert and Romona Carson. She married William B. Carson on September 15, 1956 and he preceded her in death on November 8, 1976. Kay later married Donald Flynn on May 11, 1990 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Danville. He survives. Kay is survived by two sons, Daniel W. (Marsha) Carson, Sr. of Newington, CT and Michael S. (Teresa) Carson of Long Island, NY; one daughter, Marianne (Aaron) Cunningham of Colfax, IL; two step-daughters, Kathy (Steve) Tanner of Thousand Oaks, CA and Patty (Dan) Kingen of Lexington, NC; eight grandchildren, Alison Carson, Daniel W. Carson, Jr., Robert Hennessey, Adrienne Maestas, Thomas Carson, Jennifer Carson, John Porter and Christopher Terrell; three step-grandchildren, Kris Cope, Brian Flynn and Eamon Tanner and three great-grandchildren, Madison, Hayden, and Sadie Hennessey. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert D. Carson and William F. Carson. Kay was a graduate of Schlarman High School, attended Indiana University and Danville Area Community College. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Kay was employed as an administrative assistant for Rep. Bill Black. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling. Kay was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. A Mass of Christian Burial for Kay will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Ted Pracz officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 26, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center at 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville.
