Mary K. Castleberry

Danville Mary K. Castleberry, 61, of Danville passed away at 9:52 AM on November 21, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

Mary was born on August 28, 1960 the daughter of Jack William and Peggy Lee (Williams) Shaffer in Danville, IL.

Survivors include her two daughters, Amanda Castleberry of Danville, IL, and Heather (David) Trexler of Salisbury, SC, one son, Tim Castleberry of Lafayette, IN, one brother, Jack Shaffer of Danville, IL six grandchildren, Jason Duprey, Emily Castleberry, Alyssa Trexler, Riley Trexler, Kayla Trexler and Oona Castleberry, as well as one great grandchild, Houston Camareno.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents.

Mary loved spending time with her grandchildren, tending to her flower garden, and helping others. She also enjoyed decorating for the holidays and shopping.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834. Darryl Worley will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5:00 7:00 PM on Friday, November 26, 2021.

It is kindly requested that those in attendance of the visitation or service wear a mask and practice social distancing.
