Mary H. Pippin

Covington, IN; Mary Pippin, 77, of Covington, passed away at 11:50 pm EDT on Wednesday, January 19th, 2011 at Clarian Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. Mary was born July 7, 1933 in Kentucky, the daughter of Lilburn and Marie West Burris. She married Freaman Clyde Pippin on September 9th, 1950, in Tennessee. He preceded her in death on November 17th, 1984. Survivors include 4 children; Pat (Ron) Hart of Covington, Gary (Debbie) Pippin of Covington, Sharon (Danny) Paris of Missouri, and Robert Pippin of Florida; 2 brothers, Tommy (Rhonda) Burris of Muncie, IN and Kenneth Burris of New Castle, IN; 3 sisters; Lydia (David) Patton of Muncie, IN, Lela Pinder of Westchester, IN, and Dean Billman of Michigan; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters and 1 brother. Mary enjoyed flowers, her home, and most of all, her family. A celebration of the life of Mary Pippin will be held at 11:00 am EDT on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Sunsets Covington Chapel, 420 3rd Street, Covington, Indiana. Officiating will be Pastor Joe Humrichous. Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 am EDT prior to the service at the funeral home.
