Danville - A Memorial Prayer Service will be offered for Mary Ann Graham, who died on February 13, 2026, in Danville, IL.
Mary Ann was born in Danville on April 21, 1927, to John and Anna (Gross) Wagner, now deceased. Also deceased are siblings Mildred White (Springfield, IL), Helen Kennedy (Champaign, IL), Robert Wagner (Columbia, MO), Katherine Walls (Leesburg, FL), Joseph Wagner (Tarpon Springs, FL), Dorothy Wagner (Talbot, IN) and Don Wagner (Danville, IL). Mary Ann is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann attended St. Patrick Elementary School and graduated from Danville High School in 1945. After brief clerical jobs, she studied at Marquette University, St. Mary's College at Notre Dame and at the University of Notre Dame where she earned her Bachelor and Master degrees. During that time, she was a member of the congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross and taught in various locations until 1969.
Mary Ann taught at Edison Junior High School and St. Paul Grade School before becoming an Admissions Records Officer in the Liberal Arts College office at the University of Illinois. She later married Francis W. Graham of Savoy, IL, who passed on January 11, 1991.
Mary Ann enjoyed traveling and religious studies.
A memorial service for Mary Ann Graham will be held at 4 PM on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834. Burial will take place at a later time at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Penfield, IL. Visitation will be held from 3-4 PM on Tuesday prior to the service, also at Sunset in Danville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Danville.
