Mary Glass

Mary A. Glass, 56, of Georgetown passed away at 10:52 a.m. on Monday April 10, 2006 at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, IL. She was born on December 18, 1949 in Danville, IL the daughter of Merle Meredith and S. Edith Armstrong Doolen. She married Earl Keith Glass on November 4, 1972 in Florida. He survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Ted (Kelly) Glass of Portland, TN and Adam Glass of Georgetown; two daughters, Amber (Wayne) Shead of Greenville, SC, and Crystal (Ryan) Faircloth of Del Rio, TX; one brother, Kenneth Doolen of Tilton; one sister, Sharon Taylor of Indianola, IL; four grandchildren, Allen Brehm, Michael Shead, Victoria Shead, and Alaina Faircloth. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mary worked as a bookkeeper of TKO Trucking Co. She was Charter member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Georgetown. She was very active in the church. She was the bookkeeper at the church and was a Sunday school teacher. She also played organ for the church and taught piano lessons to many of the kids. She enjoyed her music. A celebration of Marys life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday April 13, 2006 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home. Officiating: Pastor Ray Silver. Burial: Forest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at the funeral home.
