Mary was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother. She loved cooking, baking, looking for new recipes, working in her flower garden, watching the Hallmark channel, decorating, visiting with dear friends, and anyone that tasted her homemade meals & treats knew what a great cook she was. Janet Woodrum was a wonderful friend, for over 41 years, that continued to visit her often.
Mary was Head Cook at Lynch Elementary School & Edison Elementary School in the 1960s and 70s. Then she worked in the Medical Records Department at St. Elizabeth Hospital, which was transitioned to Lakeview Hospital, now known as OSF. She also worked with her husband, keeping records for Meyer Home Improvement, their family business. Mary loved her dachshunds, Fritz & Heidi. They brought great joy & comfort to her, especially after losing her husband. Mary attended Trinity Lutheran Church with her husband Ed.
The family would like to thank the many caregivers she had throughout the years, and the staff at Goldwater Care for the compassionate care they provided.
