Mary Ellen Richardson

Mary Ellen Richardson, 86, of Covington, passed away at 12:56pm, Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at her home. She was born on May 29, 1935, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Oscar and Eva {Bell} Lanham. Mary graduated from Perrysville High School in Indiana the Class of 1953. She was an extremely talented seamstress. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Covington since 1977. Mary is survived by her husband of 67 years, Floyd Richardson; her children, Eva (Mike) Cotten of Covington, IN, and Eric (Genia) Richardson of Readyville, TN; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and her sister, Barbara Kight. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, David Alan Richardson. As per Marys request there will be no public services. She will be accorded cremation rites. Her family entrusted her arrangements to Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Covington, Indiana 420 3rd St. Covington, Indiana 47932. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in her name to Covington Christian School.
