Mary E. Phelps

Mary E. Phelps ,62, of Danville passed away on March 24, 2019 peacefully at her home.

She was born on July 20, 1956 in Salem, IL the daughter of Arthur and Rena Phelps.

Mary is survived by one brother; Floyd Phelps, one sister; Vickie Wymberly of Salem, Il, two sons; Randy (Tracie) Phelps and Kevin Phelps of Danville, seven grandchildren; Breanna Phelps and Alexis Phelps of Danville, Emma Moultrie, Amyria and Brenden Phelps of Missouri, Minka and Maddex Roellgen of Danville, one great-grandson; Brodie Huff of Danville and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are special friends; David Walker, Janet Myers, Melodee Kielich, Robin Bailey, Dick and Darcie Rodgers and many others.

Mary grew up in Salem, Illinois until 1980 when she moved to Danville. She was a very energetic lady and worked all of her life. She worked at Peterson Puritan, BES Custom Designs, Custom Care Cleaners, Vermilion Manor Nursing Home and in home healthcare. Mary was a very kind loving lady and she will be greatly missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rena and Arthur "Tito" Phelps, two sisters; Nora Stief and Rosie Bell Phelps, one brother-in-law; Leroy Edward Stief and one niece, Robin Stief.

Mom was a very caring person and always wanted the best for us in life. She was my rock, my everything and I will miss her so much. She will always be in my heart forever and always love you mom, more than words can say. RIP until we meet again. Love Always, Your son, Randy.

A celebration of Marys life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville 3940 North Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61834 with Pastor Kent Tibben officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-2 PM prior to the service. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
