DANVILLE - Mary Elizabeth Neal-Winkler, 81, of Danville passed away Monday evening, January 5, 2015 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. Born July 21, 1933 in Royal, Illinois, she was the daughter of Raymond and Elizabeth (Dearth) Sears. She married Robert Neal on September 18, 1948 in Bedford, Indiana. He preceded her in death. She later married Lyle E. Winkler in 2000. Mary worked for many years at General Electric. She then worked as a clerk for County Market in Danville. Mary was a member of Cedar Grove Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed sewing and many different painting crafts. She will be dearly missed by her family. Survivors include her husband, Lyle; a son, Bobby Ray (Tammy) Neal of Catlin; two sisters, Marie Bailey of Ormond Beach, Florida and Ollie Hoskins of Georgetown; two grandchildren, Chelsey (Sam) Claypool of Bismarck, and Marcee (Brock) Taylor of Catlin; and three great grandchildren, Ella Rangel, Emma Claypool and Landry Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert; and two sisters, Bertha Graves and Katherine Morgan. A service to celebrate Marys life will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville with Pastor William Wiggins officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Entombment will follow services Friday at Sunset Memorial Park. A memorial has been established for the American Alzheimers Association.
