Mary Darleen "Dottie" Sellers, 89 of Danville, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville. She was born May 21, 1927 in Rockport, IN, the daughter of James Reed and Mary {Johnson} Roberts. In April 1946 she married Arthur Daniel Sellers in Rolling Fork, MS. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2003. Surviving are her children, Arthur Michael "Smokie" (Carol) Sellers of Covington, David (Connie) Sellers of Westville, Kathleen Harris of Danville, Rebecca (Bill) McNew of Danville, Timothy "Timmy" (Debbie) Sellers of Danville, and Steven (Chere) Sellers of Pine Island, MN; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and 1 on the way; and sister, Reedena Bullington of Henderson, KY; special granddaughter-in-law, Mandy Harris of Westville; as well as many other loving relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; grandchild, Marcus Harris; great-grandchild, Nicole Harris; daughter-in-law, Lori Sellers; 2 sisters; and 3 brothers. Dottie was a member of the Kingdom Hall in Westville. She enjoyed gardening and playing her guitar. Dottie loved to be outside. She liked to mow, chase around her chickens and ducks, and even had a peacock. Dottie had a very generous heart and would give anything to help someone out. She loved her children and family very much and will be greatly missed by them all. Private family services will be held at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, Westville. She will be laid to rest at Danville National Cemetery. Memorials in her name can be made to the Disabled American Veterans Association.
