Mary Jane Corcoran

Mary Jane Corcoran, 81, passed away peacefully at home in Danville, IL, on June 5, 2026.

Mary was born in Danville, IL in 1945 to Ernest J. and Gazel Klage. She and her older sister, Martha, grew up in Danville and graduated from Danville High School.

Mary married Ralph Corcoran in 1967, and the couple lived in Chicago for many years. She worked for CNA Insurance, retiring after more than 20 years with the company. Following Ralph’s death in 2007, she returned to Danville to live in the family home passed down to her from Ernest and Gazel.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister.

Mary will be lovingly remembered for the lifelong friendships she treasured, the dogs and cats she cared for and adored throughout the years, and the faith that remained an important part of her life.

In accordance with her wishes, no funeral or visitation services were held.

Those wishing to honor Mary’s memory may consider making a donation to a local animal shelter in recognition of her compassion for animals and her generous spirit.
