There she stayed for much of her career, retiring after over 30 years of service to the community. Mary loved children and her students were special to her. She will be remembered as a caring and compassionate educator who went above and beyond for her kids, many of whom honored her at her retirement many years later. In addition to her career, she was also devoted to her church at St. Paul’s in Danville. There she attended as a member for many years and also served as a Eucharistic Minister.

Mary was a very social person, forging relationships with students, church members, and most recently the staff and neighbors at Hollybrook in Danville. She loved being outside and would often soak up the sun while her husband fished during their time in Florida.
