Mary Clotine Conrad

Terre Haute, Ind. - Mary Clotine Conrad, 80, of Terre Haute and formerly of Parke County, Indiana, passed away at 7:58 p.m. EST Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was born August 23, 1933 in Parke County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Charles and Eva Creamer Elmore. She married Richard Conrad on June 12, 1955 in Bllomingdale, Indiana. He preceded her in death on June 14, 1977. Survivors include two sons, Richard L. Conrad of Terre Haute, Indiana and Terry R.(Marcy)Conrad of Longboat Key, Florida; four granddaughters, Lindsay and Chelsea Conrad, Ashley Stewart and Alli Boyne; two grandsons, Aaron and Hunter Conrad; one great granddaughter and one great grandson; one sister, Betty Meade of Carrollton, Georgia; two brothers, John Burke of Springfield, Missouri and Fred(Rose)Elmore of Terre Haute, Indiana; sister in law, Carolyn Estock of Cayuga, Indiana; special niece, Glenda Haines of Covington, Indiana and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. Mary retired from Wal Mart in Terre Haute, Indiana 2000. She formerly owned and operated a beauty shop in Cayuga, Indiana. She was a member of the Kingman Christian Church. Mary was a 1951 graduate of Tangier High School and a 1952 graduate of Beauty School. She enjoyed playing golf, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren. Funeral services: 2 P.M. EST Thursday, December 12, 2013 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Eugene Walls; Burial: Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EST Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the funeral home.
