Mary Joan Calton Bloomfield, 69, of Danville, IL passed away December 15, 2006 at her residence with her family at her side. She was born August 12, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI daughter of Marion (Tick) and Irene Calton. She married James Franklin Bloomfield on January 17, 1953. He survives along with children: James Jr. of Danville, Roger of Danville, Peggy Sue of Oakwood, Irena Lynn (Dean) Boys of Jamesburg, IL, and Thomas (Carrie) of Danville; granddaughter that she raised as a daughter: Jamie Sue of Danville; brothers: Gene, Carl, Ray, Ed, and sister Evelyn Burke. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two great grandchildren. Mary was employed at Southern States, K Mart, and most of all a dedicated homemaker. She was a member of the Cedar Grove Church of Nazarene and enjoyed traveling, gardening, mushroom hunting, and loved family Sunday dinners. There was never a bigger or more giving heart than Marys when it came to her husband, children, nine grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren. A Celebration of Marys life will be held at 10:00 am December 19, 2006 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center; 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville, with Pastor Ron Ingram officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Monday evening at the funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Newtown cemetery in Danville.
