Mary Beth Waterman, 60, of Georgetown, passed away Tuesday, February 03, 2015 at North Logan Health Care Center in Danville. She was born May 29, 1954 in Danville to Peter and Betty (Wischer) Comrie, Sr. Mary Beth married Donald L. Waterman on June 17, 1972 in Georgetown. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2012. Mary Beth is survived by: her mother, Betty Comrie; sons, Jim (Nikki) Waterman of Georgetown and their children, Markus and Marisa, Tim (Nicole) Waterman of Georgetown and their child Makayla, and Paul (Shannon) Waterman of Terre Haute, IN and their children DeKota, Stacia, and Hailey; her sisters, brothers, and in-laws, Linda (Jim) Ireland of Danville, Jim (Kathy) Comrie of Springfield, IL, Becky Larson of Gilberts, IL, Pete J. Comrie Jr. of Georgetown, IL, Theresa Krause (Rod Miller) of Danville, Myron Humphrey of Plainfield, IN, Cody (Lisa) Comrie of Catlin, Kelly (Marsha) Comrie of Danville, John (Jane) Comrie of Corpus Christie, TX; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her best friend and husband Donald, her father, Peter Comrie , Sr., mother-in-law Betty Waterman, sister, Sue Humphrey, her brother-in-laws, Verne Krause, John R. Waterman and Dale Larson, sister-in-law, Barb, three nephews, Carl, Craig, and Chrissy. Mary Beth graduated from Danville High School class of 1972. She worked as a bus driver for the Georgetown school district. Mary Beth was also active in the Georgetown PTO. She was very active with the Georgetown First Church of Christ and taught Sunday school there as well as many other activities with the youth. Mary Beth enjoyed bowling, BUNCO, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her late dog, Troubles. Mary Beth also loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and friends dearly. A Celebration of Mary Beths life will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the First Church of Christ, 503 North Main Street, Georgetown, IL. Pastor Phil Miller will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Danville National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Sunsets Houghton- Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown. Memorials can be made in Mary Beths name to the First Church of Christs youth program.
