Mary Berlin Russell

Mary Berlin Russell, 88, of Danville passed away on March 1, 2021 at Accolade Healthcare of Danville. She was born on February 26, 1933 the daughter of Calvin and Marie (Ellis) McCormick in Danville. She married Leo Berlin of Sidell, IL, he precedes her in death. She later married Jack Russell of Danville, IL, who also precedes her in death.

Mary is survived by four children, Terry Berlin of Westville, IL, John (Karla) Berlin of Danville, IL, Darrell (Julie) Berlin of Tilton, IL, and Judy (Doc) Berlin of Darwin, IL; as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; two sisters; daughter, Gloria Lomax; and son, Richard Berlin.

Mary was a sassy and outgoing lady who loved to socialize and be around people. She loved to go for breakfast, play bingo, and was always looking for that next trade. She was a huge animal lover. She will be loved and missed by everyone.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor James Blue. Burial will be in the Danville National Cemetery. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
