Mary was retired from the United States Postal Service and enjoyed spending her free time taking care of her cats, landscaping around the home, ballroom dancing, doing her nails, and was a talented artist who loved taking classes at the Danville Art League.
Mary was a remarkable woman whose warmth and compassion touched the lives of everyone she met, she never met a stranger. She cared for people very much, even customers from the post office would see her outside of work and compliment her on her friendliness. Family, however, was the most important to Mary. Her nurturing personality can easily be seen in her life choices. She retired early from her job at USPS to care for her mother until her passing in 2021 and was also a caregiver for her son while he endured medical issues. She was the backbone and glue of the family and all family members considered her the matriarch, in Arizona and here in the midwest. Mary's four children and grandchildren were the apple of her eye and she always showed unwavering support and a listening ear. Another testament to Mary's loving personality is her marriage to her husband Kevin. Their partnership was beautiful with unwavering support, laughter and countless cherished moments shared together. Her husband will forever treasure the memories of their adventures, and the warmth of her embrace and quiet evenings spent in each other's company. Together they built a life filled with love and kindness and his heart will forever hold her spirit close as he navigates this profound loss. Mary will be forever loved and missed by family, friends, and all who knew her.
