Mary Ann Gordon

Mary Ann Gordon, 75, of Ridge Farm, died at 9:10 pm Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living, Chrisman. She was born July 5, 1938 in Georgetown, the daughter of Vernice and Mary S. (Lewis) Jones. Mary Ann married Robert E. Gordon on June 29, 1958 in Georgetown. They enjoyed 52 wonderful years together. Robert passed away on November 11, 2010. Mary Ann is survived by two daughters: Karen (Steve) Sliva of Georgetown and Dianna Gordon of Bothell, WA; 5 grandchildren: Erin (Kevin) Gordon Byrne of Colorado, Lexi Sliva and Ethan Sliva both of Georgetown, Lily Jones and Katey Gordon both of Bothell, Washington; one brother, Larry “Joe” (Linda) Jones and one sister, Ida Mae Leeman. She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles “Bud” Jones. Mary Ann was an avid card player. Always ready to sit down for a challenging game of Euchre or Pinochle. She was a member of Ridge Farm United Methodist Church and served as church treasurer for several years. Mary Ann will be missed by her family as well as many friends and neighbors. A celebration of Mary Anns life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown with Pastor James Blue officiating . Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of service on Wednesday. Mary Ann will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, Ridge Farm, IL. Memorial donations may be made in Mary Anns name to the Alzheimers Unit at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living, Chrisman.
