Mary A. Kochvar, 70, of Danville, formerly of Georgetown, passed away at 7:21pm, Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at Provena USMC, Danville. She was born on April 25, 1940, the daughter of Winford C. and Sarah A. {Bowling} Davis, both deceased. She was united in marriage to John Kochvar on March 15, 1958, until his passing on February 23, 2004. She is survived by: her son, John R Kochvar II of Danville; her daughters, Theresa (Brian) Sollars of Georgetown & Prudence (Rockey) Beeson of Danville; her grandchildren, Brian (Amber) Sollars II, Troy (Debbie Englert) Sollars, Andrew (Tara Mowery) Kochvar, Kylie Wilson, Stephanie (James) Dukes, Daniel (Melinda) Beeson, Cody Shanks, Kendra Shanks, Zach Greenwell, & Cory Shanks; her 15 great grandchildren, with one on the way; her brothers, Leonard Davis of Danville, Jim Davis of Lebanon, IN, & Doug (Cathy) Davis of Lebanon, IN; her sisters, Judy (Jack) Cessna of Oakwood, Mary (Dave) Wilson of North Vernon, IL, & Linda (Richard) Gick of Stockwell, IN; her special friend, Sue Rollins of Westville; and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by: her sister, Martha & her husband, Bob Douglass; her brother, Charles Davis; her sister-in-law, Carol Davis; and her brother-in-law, Dick Moore. Mary worked at Chicago Molding and later at Model Star Laundry. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, and playing cards. She was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears, as well as, Dallas Cowboys. She cherished her family and loved her grandkids & great grandkids. A celebration of Marys life will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, November 27, 2010, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Chapel, A Life Celebration Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown, with David Rumley officiating. Visitation will be held 12pm-2pm on Saturday prior to service. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be sent in Marys name to American Diabetes Association.
