Danville - Mary A. Campbell, 79, of Danville passed away at 12:08 AM on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born on January 30, 1934 in Danville to William and Maude Osborne Keele. She was married to Herbert L. Campbell for 49 years until his passing on March 1, 2000. She is survived by her four children, Donna Inman, Lisa (Bill) Bernard, Jim Campbell, and Doug (Cindi Will) Campbell, all of Danville; three grandchildren, Greg Inman, Ryan (Michelle) Campbell, and Abbie (Damon Fox) Trusler; two great grandchildren, Mckenzie Campbell and Olivia Fox; a brother, Jack (Ruth) Keele; and a best friend of over 50 years, Edith Hollen. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John and Bill Keele. Mary had worked as the Records Room Supervisor at Carle Clinic in Danville until her retirement, but had also been employed at Danville Manor and 2nd National Bank. She had served as Chapter President and the former weight recorder as a member of TOPS. Mary also had been involved with the Birthday Club and the Bunco club. She enjoyed listening to music at the Landings, playing cards with her Thursday card club and meeting her friends at McDonald's for morning coffee. Mary also liked to spend her spare time making Christmas baskets and stuffed bears, as well as frequenting Casinos and playing BINGO. A service to celebrate the life of Mary Campbell will be held at 2 PM on Friday, May 3, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Rod Godley will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Thursday, May 2, also at Sunset in Danville. Memorials in her name may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
