Danville Marvin E. Isenhower, 101, of Danville passed away at 5:15 PM on March 21, 2023 at Accolade Healthcare of Danville, IL.
Marvin was born on July 31, 1921 the son of Elza and Grace (Fleming) Isenhower in Catlin, IL. He married Lucille Judy on June 25, 1949 in Champaign County and she preceded him death on February 14, 2014.
Marvin is survived by his nieces, Brenda (Caroll) Mushrush of Sumner, IL, Cheryl (Dale) Clark of Robinson, IL and Vicki Cook of Glassford, IL, and nephew, Chuck (Dawn) Judy of Lawrenceville, IL.
Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lucille, stepdaughter, Carol Shick, brothers, George Isenhower and Homer Isenhower, and sisters, Becky Price, Mary Baker and Anna Lee Brown.
Marvin graduated from Fairmont High School and Gallaghers School of Business in Kankakee, IL. He served in the United States Navy and received the Bronze Star, was a member of the Alvin Church of God and retired as the President and Manager of Central Loan Company and enjoyed spending his free time playing golf, reading, and watching his television programs. In his younger years, he and his wife, Lucille traveled to all the Continents of the World. Marvin was a member of the Elks and Moose Club, the Fairmount Conservation Club, American Legion, Lifetime Member of the DAV and VFW and Honorary Member of C.D.
A Celebration of Life Committal Service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum, 3901 N. Vermilion Street, Danville, Illinois 61832. Pastor Dan Hunt will officiate. Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 210 and Entombment will in Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.
