Marvin Cole

Marvin Cole, 88, of Danville, passed away on March 10, 2014. He was born on August 4, 1925 in State Line, IN, the son of, Holland and Cora (Brewington) Cole. He married Betty Jean Ricketts on September 26, 1942 in Covington, IN. He will be deeply missed by two daughters, Connie Jo Cole and Kathy Jean (Jim) Bailey, four grandchildren, Schuyler Jude (Jennifer) Bailey, Jessica Paige (AJ) Lewis, Eli Cole Havlicek and Ethan Tanner Havlicek, and four great grandchildren, Revan Alexander Bailey, Gabrielle Paige Lewis, Gracie Kate Lewis and Kasen Dean Havlicek. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, Larry Wayne Cole and two brothers, Revel H. and Ross A. Cole. Marvin was a United States Navy veteran, serving in World War II aboard the LCS 12. He became a member of the Pipefitters LU 293 and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed traveling, sight-seeing, history, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Per Marvins wishes he will be cremated and burial will take place at West Lebanon Cemetery in West Lebanon, IN. There will be no services per his request.
