Martin Ray "Marty" Compton, 33, of Danville passed away on Tuesday February 28th, 2017 at Presence United Medical Center in Danville. Marty was born the son of Melvin and Bobette (Baumgart) Compton on November 23rd 1983 in Danville. Marty is survived by his mother Bobette, one sister Amy Lamb, one niece Cora Jane Lamb. Marty was preceded in death by his father Melvin. Marty loved to go camping and for rides in a golf cart. He lived in a group home on Shake Rag Road, where he had many people who helped him in his every day activities. Marty was also an Illini Basketball fan who enjoyed watching them on TV. A Celebration of Marty's life will take place at Vermilion Valley Vineyard Church 3733 Poolside Drive, Danville, IL., on Wednesday March 15, 2017 at 4pm. Pastor Jay Sorrell will officiate.
