Perrysville, Ind. - Martin Nasby Drummond, 85, of Perrysville, passed away at 9:56 a.m. EST Monday, January 24, 2022, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was born September 15, 1936, in Muncie, Illinois the son of the late Willis Franklin and Edna (Hume) Drummond.

Martin married Rita Ann Flannery on January 12, 1957 in Sterling, Indiana. She preceded him in death on May 7, 2020.

Survivors include his children: Doug (Sherry) Drummond of Marshall, Indiana; Becky (Brian) Arnold of Crawfordsville, Indiana; Lisa Shuman of Danville, Illinois; Jeff Drummond of Perrysville, Indiana and David (Kelly) Drummond of Lafayette, Indiana; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Marilyn Jeffers of Fairmount, Illinois and Helen Knoepfel of Columbia, Tennessee; brother: John (Carrie) Drummond of California, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Martin was preceded in death by his son: Michael Drummond, and brother: Marvin Drummond.

Martin retired from TeePak in 2011. He was a Korean War veteran serving with the United States Navy and later served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Coal Branch Church in rural Perrysville, Indiana. Martin was a 1955 graduate of Oakwood High School. He was a member of the National Horseshoe Pitching Associating. Martin enjoyed watching Indiana University Basketball.

Graveside services and inurnment: Friday, May 6, 2022 at 1 p.m. (Illinois Time) at Danville National Cemetery in Danville, Illinois with military honors rendered by the Danville American Legion Post 210. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana in charge of arrangements.
