Martin 'Joe' Hembrey

Martin Joe Hembrey, 84, of Danville passed away at 2:36 p.m. on Wednesday July 18,2007 at his residence. Joe was born December 19,1922 in Danville the son of Fredrick J and Josephine M Dillon Hembrey. On February 16,1946 he married Rosemary Burns at St Patrick Church. She preceded him on July 9,2006. Surviving are his daughters Cheri Hembrey of Danville, Kathy Hembrey of Tilton, and Julie Ric Rose of Mahomet; grandchildren Jena Rose and Brandon Rose; and sister in law Verda Hembrey also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents and wife Rosemary. Joe was a past member of the Elks Club and American Legion and a veteran of WWII. He was most proud of his grandchildren and family. Joe will be missed by all of his coffee buddies from Schroeders where they would meet daily. A celebration of Joes life will be held on Saturday July 21,2007 at 11:00am at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Officiating Fr. Greg Nelson.
