Martha Stewart, 83, of Sullivan, IL formerly of Oakwood, IL passed away at 11:01 pm on Sunday October 16, 2016 at Mason Point in Sullivan, IL. Martha was born on March 30, 1933 the daughter of Virgil and Mary (Fulara) Hardy in Alvin, IL. She married Allan Stewart on July 20, 1951 in Danville, IL and he preceded her in death on January 2, 2015. Survivors include three sons; Mark A. (Suzy) Stewart of Moyock, N.C., Timothy J. (Teri) Stewart Sr of Oakwood, IL and John W. Stewart of Sullivan, Il, one daughter; Mary K. (Tom) Sparling of Topeka, Kansas, two brothers; Jim Hardy of Westville, IL and Jack Hardy of Lafayette, IN two sisters; Sheri (Jerry) McMasters of Westville, IL and Josephine Maxwell of Westville, IL, as well as ten grandchildren; Abby Stewart, TJ (Heidi) Stewart Jr, John Ryan(Rachel) Stewart, Elissa Stewart, Blake Stewart, Brandon, Dalton and Bryson Sparling, Christopher Fox and Will Fox and seven great-grandchildren. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Allan, two sisters; Deloris Vilk and Kathleen Bunting, one daughter; Cynthia Jo Fox, and two grandchildren; Kimberly Stewart Hagan and Mathew Fox. Martha attended the Muncie Baptist Church for the past several years. She was employed at Danville Metal Stamping for many years as an assembler, performing liquid welding of aircraft parts. Martha spent many years coaching girls' softball in Muncie and Fithian and enjoyed traveling to, and competing in, Bowling Tournaments as well as fishing with her husband, Allan. A celebration of life funeral service for Martha will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Sunset's Oakwood Chapel in Oakwood. Officiating the service will be Pastor Dave Garver. Visitation for family and friends will be 12 noon till the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home in Oakwood. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations can be given to Riley's Children's Hospital.
