Covington, Ind. - Martha Rose Drake, 90, of Covington died at 4 p.m. EST Saturday, December 5, 2020 at West Park Healthcare Center in Indianapolis.

She was born July 12, 1930 in Stateline, Indiana the daughter of the late Herley and Madge (High) Keller.

Martha was married in West Lebanon, Indiana on June 6, 1948 for 66 years to the late Kennard W. Drake (September 28, 2014).

Survivors include two daughters: Denise (Robert) Ebert, Jr. of Danville, Illinois and Lynn (Robert) Stein of Covington, Indiana; 8 grandchildren: Travis (Cari) Wooster of Perrysville, Indiana; Tara (Wesley) Pendleton of Lafayette, Indiana; Amy Long of Bloomington, Illinois; Aaron (Diana) Stein and Ashley (Stacey) Stein both of Covington, Indiana; Andrea (Stuart) Williams of Terre Haute, Indiana; Bryan (Megan) Stein of Attica, Indiana and David Stein of Covington, Indiana; 12 great-grandchildren, and 3 inherited great-grandchildren; brother: Larry (Nancy) Keller of Leesburg, Florida.

Martha was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter: Maeva Stein; sister: Imogene McClure Myers; brother-in-laws: Robert McClure and Robert Myers; nephew: Gerald McClure and cousin: Eloise Wait Cadman.

Martha attended Sterling Christian Church in Veedersburg, Indiana. She was a 1948 graduate of Covington High School. Martha worked at Meis and JC Penney's in Danville, Illinois, and Norma's Dress Shop in Covington, Indiana. When growing up at home Martha loved to sing/yodel, and show horses with her father. She loved her family and friends. Martha enjoyed going to Benjamin's, doing ceramics, crafts, sewing, cooking, working in her flower garden, and dancing with Kennard.

Private family graveside services will be held at Lower Mound Cemetery north of Perrysville, Indiana. Officiating: Gary Johnson. Contributions may be made to the Covington Community Foundation, PO Box 175, Covington, Indiana 47932. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana in charge of arrangements.
