Martha Powell

Martha Ellen Powell, 86, of Danville, passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at The Waters of Covington. She was born on July 01, 1932 the daughter of Ross and Gladys (Combs) Bloomfield. She married Albert D. Powell on August 07, 1949.

Martha is preceded in death by both of her parents, Ross and Gladys; her husband, Albert; one son, Stanley Powell; three brothers, Robert Bloomfield, Leonard Bloomfield, and Harold Bloomfield; one sister, Opal Pruitt, granddaughter, Juletta Loden; and a son-in-law, John Jaggers.

Survivors include two sons, Phillip Powell and Timothy (Karen) Powell; three daughters, Kathy (Larry) Fox, Karen Jaggers, and Barbara (Steve) Redenbaugh; two sisters, Margaret (Lloyd) McGowen and Minnie Barsteika; 14 grandchildren, John Loden, Angela Fox, April Powell, Eric Powell, Amber Powell, Anthony Powell, Tom Powell, Billie Jo Caudill, Candace Miller, Jodi Brant, Christal Jaggers, Shannon Farnsworth, Sean Redenbaugh, and Tim Redenbaugh; and many great grandchildren.

Martha had a love for many things. She loved motorcycle riding, reading her bible, gardening, and playing cards. She especially loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by her family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor Miles Clark. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Danville. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
