Martha P. Burress

Danville - Martha Pearl Burress, 64, of Paris, formerly of Danville, IL passed away at 8:50 pm on August 26, 2018 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. Martha was born on October 24, 1953 the daughter of William Thomas and Frances Agnes (Richards) Harrington, Sr in Russellville, IL. Martha is survived by her three children; Gary Burress, Eric Burress and Stacey Burress all of Tilton, IL, seven sisters; Frances (Bud) Morse of Elizabethtown, IL, Cheryl Spangler of Manchester, TN, Nila (Mike) McGuire of Robinson, IL, Beulah (Ron) Morris of Shelburn, IN, Karen (Chuck) Wilson of Paris, IL, Sheila (Wayne) Neeley of Manchester, TN, and Doris McDaniels of Paris, IL, five grandchildren; Tyler, Christina, Shelby, Autumn and Bella, two great grandchildren; Jadelynn and Khatrina as well as a special friend; David Guyman of Paris, IL. Martha is preceded in death by her parents, and eleven siblings; William Jr, Delbert, Ronald, Donald, Victor, Robert, Zola, Hazel, Opal, Twyla and Mary. Martha enjoyed spending her free time with her cats, reading and shopping. Most of all she will be remembered for her culinary skills; especially her noodles and her famous dressing. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion Street Danville, IL. Raymie Gordon will officiate. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery in Danville, IL.
