Martha 'Kathy' Fox

Alvin Martha "Kathy" Fox, 72, of Alvin, passed away at 3:49 AM on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at her home. She was born on July 10, 1950 in Danville to Albert D. and Martha (Bloomfield) Powell. She married Larry Fox in August of 1974. He survives.

Also surviving are two children, John A. Loden and Angela M.E. Fox; five grandchildren, Adam, Caleb, and Destiny Fox, and Juletta and Morrisa Loden; great-grandson Liam Fox; two brothers, Timothy (Karen) Powell and Phillip Powell; and two sisters, Karen Jaggers and Barb (Steve) Redenbaugh.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Juletta Loden; brother, Stanley Powell; Troy Fox; and multiple others.

Kathy worked in data processing at Central States and more recently as the Warehouse Manager at Illiana Transit. She was talented at making crafts, and especially enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and making her trademark toilet paper dolls. Kathy liked gardening and canning what she grew. She loved her dogs but especially liked to spend time with her grandkids.

A service to celebrate the life of Kathy Fox will be held at 1 PM on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834. Pastor Miles Clark will officiate. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12-1 PM on Monday May 15, 2023, also at Sunset in Danville.
