Martha Jane Mullins, 84, of Danville IL., passed away at 11:50 am on Saturday August 3, 2013 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Clinic in Danville IL. She was born on November 21, 1928 in Oakwood IL to Clarence and Mabel Eunice (Duncan) Ervin. Martha married Otis “Moon” Mullins on June 29, 1947 in Danville IL., he preceded her in death on September 25, 2003. Surviving family includes two daughters - Linda J. Newlin and Carolyn S. Sullivan, both of Danville; two sons - Glenn W. (Marcey) Mullins of Bedford TX. and Douglas M. (Janet) Mullins of Midway KY.; eight grandchildren - Laura J. (Rick) Boyd of Danville, Gary D. Newlin II of Maquokepa IA and William A. Newlin of Danville, Courtney A. and Hayley A. Mullins of Bedford TX., and Jacob T. (Molly) Mullins of New Orleans LA., Patrick D. Mullins of Changwon, South Korea and Allison C. Mullins of Batavia; three great-grandchildren - Cory M., Amber L. and Elizabeth J. Boyd, all of Danville; and two sisters - Mary Minnick of Champaign and Clara (Paul) Howard of Westville. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, husband Otis and her sister Marilyn Pinnick. A devoted wife and mother Martha dedicated her life to her family. She was a member of the Lincoln Methodist Church of Danville and she served as a past Worthy Matron for the Danville Chapter # 854 Order of the Eastern Star as well as a Worthy High Priestess for the White Shrine of Jerusalem. She enjoyed baking pies and was skilled at embroidery. Martha will be greatly missed by her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she was most proud of. A celebration of Marthas life will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday August 7, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville IL. with burial at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday August 6, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Memorials may be made in Marthas name to a charity of the donors choice. Condolences may be left at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com
