Martha Ellen Hayden

Covington, IN- Martha Ellen Hayden, 90, of Covington passed away at 11:28 AM on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Hickory Creek of Crawfordsville. She was born on October 15, 1923 in Fountain County, IN to Imless and Leona Storey Barnett. She married Francis A. Hayden in February of 1941. He preceded her in death in October, 1984. She is survived by four children, Marvin (Gertrude) Hayden of Veedersburg, Francis A. Hayden, Jr. of Covington, Ruth Burroughs of Brownsburg, and David Hayden, Sr. of Brownsburg; 11 grandchildren, Wes (Jonna) Hayden, Erick Hayden, David Hayden, Jr., Carlo Hayden, Steve (Donna) Hayden, Mike Schnarr, John (Paula) Olson, Rick Olson, Francis A. (Cecilia) Hayden III, Suzette Bergner, and Linda Bainbridge; 17 great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Olson and a son-in-law, Jerry Burroughs. Martha had worked as a supervisor at ATI in Danville until her retirement. She was a long time member at the First Assembly of God Church in Covington where she was very active over the years. Most of all, Martha loved to take care of her kids and grandkids. A service to celebrate the life of Martha Hayden will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 25, 2013 at the First Assembly of God Church in Covington. Pastor Bob Fairchild will officiate. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM prior to the service at the church on Friday. Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church in Covington.
