Martha Bednar

Danville, IL Martha Elaine Bednar, 79, of Danville, IL passed away at 4:50 PM on April 23, 2020 at North Logan Healthcare in Danville, IL.

Martha was born on August 29, 1940 the daughter of Carl A. and Eva M. (Wilson) Erp in Indianola, IL. She married Joseph Bednar on April 26, 1958 and he preceded her in death on January 19, 2001.

Survivors include one son, Joseph (Angela Warrick) Bednar of Georgetown, IL, two daughters, Jayne (Brian) Ocker and Leslie Bednar both of Danville, IL, one sister, Marylin Branson of Paris, IL as well as four grandchildren, Richard (Tammy Griffith) Baldwin, Jr, Emily (Jacob) Thompson, Hailey Bednar, and Dakota Johnson and four great grandchildren, Richard Baldwin, III, Bentley Bednar, Meila Thompson and Aubree Thompson and several nieces and nephews.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph and one brother, Carl "Dick" Erp.

Martha loved spending her free time with her family and friends and enjoyed cooking, watching cooking programs and working word search puzzles.

A private family Graveside Service will be held on Monday, April 27, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Park. Father Deus Byomuhangi will officiate. Private family visitation will be held from 1:00 2:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
