Marshall Pridemore

Marshall D. Pridemore, 98, of Westville, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL. he was born on November 23, 1922, in Danville, Illinois, the son of Joseph and Iva (Hensley) Pridemore. He was united in marriage to Caroline Lipowsky on February 15, 1942.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Caroline; children, Marshall (Dianne) Pridemore of Clackamas, OR, Paul (Carol) Pridemore of Covington, IN, Thomas (Kathy) Pridemore of Popular Bluff, MO, and Debra Zoerb of Ridge Farm, IL; grandchildren, Annette Warbritton, Marianne Richard, John Pridemore, Robert Pridemore, Paula Brasel, Sherry Phelps, Sally Machala, Thomas Pridemore, Andrew Pridemore and David Zoerb. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Marshall was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Anna Marie; brothers, Cash, Jack, Gene, and Loren; sisters, Joy Harold, and Fonda Cox; son in law, Stephen Zoerb.

Marshall was proud to serve his country in the 88th Division "Blue Devils" during WWII. He was a member of Westville Sportsman Club, Westville American Legion and South Side Church of Christ in Danville. Marshall enjoyed old classic cars, mushroom hunting and helping with boy scouts. He cherished all the time he spent with his family; they will miss him dearly.

A celebration of Marshalls life will be held at 11:00am on Friday September 3, 2021, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Westville, IL, 414 S. State St. Westville, Illinois 61883, with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiation. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00am prior to the service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Memorial donations may be given in his honor to South Side Church of Christ in Danville.
