Mark Vinson

Mark Vinson, 45, of Oakwood, IL passed away December 10, 2006 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He was born April 3, 1961 in Danville, Illinois son of Robert and Ruth (Smith) Vinson. Survivors include: mother and step father: Ruth and ED Fletcher, children: Tiffany and Nick Vinson, and ex-wife Nancy, Fianc(c): Kim and her children Ryan and Kayla Nale, grandchildren: Kayden and Brayden Nale, siblings: Bob (Bonita) Vinson, Jody (Steve) West, Cindy (Donnie) Bennett, Denny (Brenda) Vinson, and K.P. (Chris) Vinson, several nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews, special friends Brian Myers and Brad Myrick. He was preceded in death by his father. Mark was a 1979 graduate of Oakwood High School and worked in the warehouse industry as a fork lift operator for many years with the last seven being at the Jack in the Box distribution in Danville. Mark enjoyed mushroom hunting, reading, caring for his yard, and was an avid sports fan. He loved the local sports scene as well as the Bears, Cubs, Illini, and NASCAR. Mark was touched by all the love and generosity from his family and friends. A Celebration of Marks life will be held at 1:00 pm December 14, 2006 at Sunsets Oakwood Chapel. Visitation will be held from 4:00 " 8:00 pm Wednesday evening at the Oakwood Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Stearns cemetery in Muncie.
