Mark S. Humphries Sr., 58, of Danville, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2020. He was born in Erie Pennsylvania on November 24, 1961, the son of Ronald Sr. and Beverly Humphries. On May 27, 2011 Mark married the love of his life Deena Cook, she survives.

Mark is preceded in death by his Mother, Beverly Humphries; Maternal Grandparents, Richard and Zoella Irish; Paternal Grandparents, George and Dorothy Humphries; Step-son, P.C. Chomyn; Father-in-law, Marion Cook; Sister-in-law, Julie Humphries; Niece, Krista Humphries and several Aunts, Uncles, Friends, and Shipmates.
Mark retired from the U.S. Navy in 2000 after 20 years of service. During his time in the Navy he worked as an Automatic Gunfire Control Systems Technician, A Fire Control Systems Technician, and a Navy Recruiter and received countless medals and ribbons. After retiring from the U.S. Navy Mark went to work for MGE, APC, AND Schneider Electric providing uninterruptable power supply. He began as a field Service Engineer, working his way up to District Service Manager.
He was a member of the VFW Post 2395 in Covington, IN.
Mark enjoyed his morning coffee and doughnuts, Steeler football, Nascar, sitting in his home office cranking out tunes on his self-built custom stereo system. He also loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, teaching them about "Good" music and "CAKE!"
A Graveside service for Mark will be held at 2pm EST on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Hughes Cemetery in Perrysville, IN. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.
