Mark Hunt

Mark W. Hunt, 54, of Covington, Indiana passed away on October 1, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. Mark was born of December 18, 1955 in Crawfordsville, Indiana son of Don and Mary (Douglas) Hunt. He married Sandra Haenig on August 14, 1982 in Crawfordsville. She survives along with three children: Jennifer Hunt of Covington, Indiana, Stacy (Barry) Winko of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Douglas (Annie Hammond) Hunt of Veedersburg, Indiana; two grandchildren: Isaiah Winko and Olivia Hunt; two brothers: Joseph Brady of Crawfordsville, Indiana and James Brady of Ladoga, Indiana; sister Wanda Bell of Terre Haute, Indiana and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mark was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School and has worked as a Police Officer in Crawfordsville, Maintenance at Lakeland College, a multi-processor at Alcoa, head of Security at McClains and Auto Zone, and most recently worked at grounds and maintenance at Purdue. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, tinkering in the garage but most of all he loved to spend time with the grandchildren. Mark was a member of the Coopers Baptist Church for many years and was a passed Scout Leader. A Celebration of Marks Life will be held at 10:00 am EST Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Sunsets Covington Chapel, A Life Celebration Home 420 3rd street, Covington, IN 47932. A visitation will be held from 4-8 pm EST Monday evening at the funeral home. Following the services a private burial will be held at Franklin Cemetery south of Chrisman, Illinois.
