Mark Allan Bailey

Mark Allan Bailey, 50, of Danville IL., passed away at 3:52 am on Sunday August 25, 2013 at his mothers home in Danville IL., his family was by his side. Born June 16, 1963 in Danville he was the son of Royal E. and Jo Darleen (Andrews) Bailey. His mother survives. Other survivors include his brothers - David W. Bailey, Ron E. (Melinda) Bailey and Jimmy M. (Annette) Bailey; sisters - Sharon L. (Fernando “Chico”) Hutchins, Cindy Sue Bailey (Jim Wyer) and Crystal L. (Michael) Wagner; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and special friends Kurt, Cory, Jermey, Mark Sampson, and Jamie Richards. He was preceded in death by his father Royal E. Bailey, brother Robert “Bobby” Bailey and sister Linda Kay Bailey. A native of Danville, Mark worked at the Smoke House as a cashier. He liked to play pool, go fishing and playing Euchre with friends. A dedicated member of Alcohol Anonymous, Mark celebrated 15 years of sobriety. He attended meeting regularly, often two or three a week, and spoke on several occasions. A beloved brother and friend, Mark will be missed by those who were fortunate enough to know him. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dickie and Jane Stitt, Jim and Debbie Manning, and all his friends at Satellite. A celebration of Marks life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday August 30, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville IL. with Pastor Doug Knapp officiating and burial at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday August 29, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville.
